Hi Panida Community!
I hope this note finds you well. Can you believe it, it’s been ONE month since I started as the Panida’s new Managing Director! And what a month it’s been.
I’ve learned so much about the Panida this past month from an operations perspective and a historical one. But I’ve also learned a lot about myself. And while I’ve been in the weeds with onboarding and identifying priorities, I feel like I’m able to see the forest more clearly. However, for anyone whose had children to care for out there you know learning a new job is much like sleep training - you feel like you got it then your baby’s whole schedule is flipped on it’s head!
With that said I am thankful for everyone’s patience and kindness as they onboard me.
I couldn’t do this job without our amazing board who are super active and supportive especially Tari Pardini, Jim Healey and our grant writers specifically Foster Cline at the helm, our employees Josh, Doug and Todd, our volunteers especially our volunteer coordinator Nancy Yacovone, and the support and welcome from the community.
Todd works on facilities projects at the Panida, and one of the first things he said to me was that everyone you see at the Panida wants to be here because they love this place. And I have felt that love.
Thank you again to everyone for the warm welcome.
I hope we see you this March at the Panida, we have an amazing schedule with something for everyone!
Cheers!
Lauren
